Arlyn Gauger

Arlyn was an accomplished artist, an amazing cook, and an expert seamstress. She encouraged her daughters' interests and was a strong advocate of independence and personal growth. A lifelong learner, she always had a book or a Kindle in her hand. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church for more than 50 years and especially enjoyed her Bible Study group.
She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she majored in Home Economics. She retired from MCC where she enjoyed a successful 18-year career in the administrative offices. In her later years, she enjoyed volunteering, lunch with friends, her neighborhood book club, and spending summers on Honeoye Lake.
She is survived by her daughters, Martha Saxby, Dr. Jane Salamone (Michael Holodnik), and Kristin Coffey (Christopher); her grandchildren, Olivia and Madeline Holodnik, Matt and Ben Coffey, Ethan Saxby and Alex Saxby (Michelle); great-grandson, Daniel Saxby; siblings, Doreen Evans of CO, Faith Pipp (Ralph) of AZ
