Tallahassee - Horrible
11/09/2022 AD arrived
After a difficult first day of the trip we just wanted to get into a decent hotel and sleep. Unfortunately, we had a horrific experience at the La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Tallahassee North
After checking in, the key card to the room didn't work. I left the car parked in front of the room in their very poorly lit parking lot and walked back to the front desk. I was told that the door lock was defective and assigned to a different room.
Upon returning to the car Muu pointed out a man on the second floor balcony who frightened hre by staring at the car while I was gone. I drove around the building to park where the second room was located. At this room, the key reader flashed green but the door wouldn't open. Again, I walked back to the front desk and the clerk complained that the maintenance records weren't kept up to date by the daytime staff. He apologized and issued me a key for a third room.
I went straight up to the room to verify that the key worked. Then I returned to the car to move it close to the room which was on the opposite side of the property. At this point, Muu pointed out that the the guy had been joined by another guy who had walked around the building to stare at our car.
I drove to the where the third room was located to consider our options when we saw that the men had followed us and seemed to be joined by some one in a car that they were began talking with,
At this point I left the property scared for my family's safety. I contacted hotels.com, through whom I had booked the room requesting to transfer the booking to another hotel.
